Shani Jayanti - Reduce Effects of Karma
About This Event
Shani Jayanti is the birth anniversary of Lord Shani (Saturn), the god of justice and karma. It is widely believed that serving the poor and the marginalized on this day is the most effective way to appease Lord Shani and reduce the burden of one's misdeeds. Shani Dev is particularly associated with those who labor under difficult conditions. At Karamsthali, we observe this day with 'Shramik Seva'—serving our laborer brothers and sisters. By donating footwear, clothing, and essential food items, you not only help someone in need but also align yourself with the principles of justice and selfless service.
What to Expect
- Paduka Daan: Distributing slippers and footwear to barefoot children
- Vastra Daan: Providing black umbrellas and clothing (Shani Dev's favorites)
- Tail Daan: Collecting and distributing cooking oil to BPL families
- Til & Anna: Distributing black sesame and nutritional grains
- Inaugurating health camps for construction laborers
